An off day

An off day

Yesterday, I was reminded of just how important every point is in the poule round.
In Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, I fenced my first Senior World Cup ever. I had no idea where I would end up at the end of the day.

I had two victories and lost four matches. I had to wait two hours for the results: would I make it to the elimination round or not? Unfortunately, I did not. If only I had made one more point, I would have. It has been a long time since I did not make it through the poules and it feels like losing before having even started.
Now, I have to focus on the upcoming Junior World Championships in Poland. I will fence on the 6th of April. Wish me luck.
