No Nationals this year…

It’s finally here: the first competition in the Netherlands since the corona outbreak. And not just any: the Dutch national championships.

Today the Dutch National Chamionships will be organised by my own club: SCA. Unfortunately, I can’t come to defend my title. I recently moved to Budapest to pursue career in fencing and start my bachelor in Mathematics. And the travel restrictions due to the covid pandemic are tough.

Even though I cannot travel back for the nationals due to travel restrictions, I count myself lucky. Here in Hungary I have been able to train on like nothing changed: I can fence seven times a week and I can go to the gym. On top of that, I have had many Hungarian national competitions and even came back with one bronze medal of one of them:)
