Fencing camp, Lignano Sabbiadoro

Fencing camp, Lignano Sabbiadoro

During the summer break, the national sabre team of the Netherlands went to Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. There, we had a one week fencing camp with two of the best Italian sabre coaches. Every day we had morning and afternoon trainings, which were very exhausting because of the hot weather over there and the presence of over one hundred fencers in the hall. We had a lot of fun together with fencers from all around the world: Belgium, Russia, USA, Hungary and many more. We had one day off to go sightseeing in Venice.

After the fencing camp in Italy, I went to Strasbourg, France with a good friend of mine and we stayed there for one week as for trainings. We trained there every day, sometimes twice a day. This was a great start of the season for me and I am really excited for the rest of the season.
